Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Today a lot happened, and also supposed to be my year anniversary with LootDrop, and then there is this song about today. Lagwagon - May 16
it is all about energy…. The Who - My Generation
Ideological leper, newly planted tower:
Grows from the ground and spills its guts out on the sidewalk
Pseudo politico, flat talk o’clock:
Rolls past the site of a flesh insurrection
Sidestepping creep, hostile slumlord:
Grabs his cash and hits the road
His face is scarred and scabbed like the map of some
Desolate wasteland, a speck of neglect
Bombed out and leveled, to be cleansed again
We’ll bury this city in trash
Damage deceiver
Builds up his believers
and takes charge
Stains half of the sewer
with chaos and clover
and charred tongues
Is this the dumpster of your dreams?
And who will be your next trash crusader?
Ancestor incest
The organs are rotting
on weak slabs
Re-animating
The corpses of buildings
With old stones
The way shows were meant to be played. Not expensive tickets for fancy seats. A shitty cramped place will do with the right people and high octane energy. Where the crowd and band becomes one. This brings memories when I toured with my band. It was exactly like this. Pure fun.
Packing some of my old school hardcore and thrascore record collection.
Lyrics by the almighty Bay Area band SPAZZ. From the1999 powerviolence scene.
SAMHAIN - Archangel live in 1984. For those that don’t know who Samhain is, well, it was the transitional band of Glenn Danzig from the Misfits to Danzig. It has a good balance of Misfits songs maturing to Danzig material. Samhain was also a more obscure/dark project. This video is raw. First, Danzig doesn’t usually play guitar live, he did it mostly with this project, and he played with a broken strings, not caring at all. Punk.
